Create PDF documents….
Have you ever needed to create a PDF document from a webpage or custom application?
Yes, me too!
Media Modus produces a commercial product called myPDF, you may know that I have a personal version too (pdfGen), I originaly posted to my blog http://www.jasonwhite.co.uk/2006/07/08/xml-pdf-generator/. This version is free to use, however there is no support available for it although I may respond to the odd email if im not eating a sandwich.
What does it do? It provides a way for you to produce PDF documents on the fly, maybe you want to create invoices or quotes online, all you need to do is build an XML document and feed it in. Here is an example document and here is the XML document that created this output.
I am using this version in a couple of projects and it is working well, that said I now have to introduce a cavieat, this version is experimental and therefore should only be used if you find it fits your needs, the usual disclaimer applies and I do not warrant it fit for any paticular purpose… One of your many rights is the “freedom of choice”, if you choose to use this sofwtware then you also choose to accept full responsability for the outcome of that decision and render me free from any claim legal or otherwise should anything unexpected happen as a result of it’s use.
hi, glad your still with me, the link below is to a zipped or rarred pdfGen.dll file.
